The Ministry of Environmental Protection recently released the results of the intensified air pollution prevention and control inspection in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and its surrounding areas from June 22nd to 24th.
On June 22nd, the 28 inspection teams inspected a total of 269 enterprises (units), and found that 109 enterprises had environmental problems. As of June 22nd, the 28 inspection teams dispatched by the Ministry of Environmental Protection had completed the fifth round of intensified supervision. From June 9th to June 22nd, the 28 inspection teams conducted inspections on 6,298 enterprises (units), and found that 3,857 enterprises had environmental problems. Recent inspections have revealed that some enterprises still engage in illegal production with malfunctioning pollution control facilities. For instance, in Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, the water acetic acid sodium workshop of Shijiazhuang Haosheng Chemical Co., Ltd. had its alkali liquid circulation pump stopped, and waste gas was discharged directly; in Zengzhou County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, Jincheng Hongchuangyuan Wear-resistant Materials Co., Ltd. cut off the smoke gas recovery pipeline of the heat treatment section without authorization, and the annealing furnace smoke gas was discharged directly; in Yangxin County, Binzhou City, Shandong Province, Longtai Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. had a bypass at the boiler exhaust port, and some waste gas was discharged directly without treatment by pollution control facilities; in Qicheng County, Hebi City, Henan Province, Changjia Building Materials Co., Ltd. had its tunnel kiln smoke gas desulfurization and dust removal facilities stopped, and the smoke gas was discharged directly.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection requires that each inspection team continue to conduct detailed inspections on prominent environmental violations. For enterprises with malfunctioning pollution control facilities and illegal production, local environmental protection departments should strictly investigate and handle the situation, and ensure that rectifications are implemented.
