The Struggle for Survival - Analyzing How Outstanding Environmental Protection Enterprises Can Thrive in the Turbulent Domestic Environmental Protection Industry

Entering 2016, with the promulgation of the new environmental protection law, the country has become increasingly concerned about the environmental protection industry. In the organic waste gas treatment industry, numerous environmental protection companies of all sizes have sprung up like bamboo shoots after a spring rain.

Due to the fact that many domestic enterprises lack understanding of organic waste gas treatment technology, and the organic waste gas treatment enterprises are of varying quality, this has led to phenomena such as disorderly competition and chaotic technology selection in the organic waste gas treatment industry. How can high-quality environmental protection enterprises survive in this chaos? This is yet another issue that enterprises need to face.

As for me personally, to survive in this chaotic situation, the following conditions should be met:

① Have core technologies. If one merely relies on old technologies that have been mature for a long time to adapt to the new environmental protection forms, then it can only be a low-price competition. For example, the simple activated carbon adsorption process (carbon replacement process) is merely a combination of a carbon tank, activated carbon, and a fan, with very low technical content. The price is very transparent, and the value-added services provided to customers are only the subsequent replacement of activated carbon. With the implementation of the new environmental protection law, the standards for environmental protection requirements are also increasing. The previous processes that could meet the standards in the past cannot meet the current standards. If the standards are raised, the simple activated carbon adsorption process will gradually be eliminated, and the customer will have to increase the cost of replacing equipment.

② Be realistic. Especially in the issue of equipment compliance, the implementation of new laws and new standards has raised the previous environmental protection standards. Many enterprises, despite knowing that their own technologies cannot meet the stricter standards for treatment, still dare to make false promises. Our company, however, always starts from the specific circumstances of the customer and adopts the standards that can be achieved. Even if we lose this customer during the initial communication, we will still win this customer again because of our integrity in the future.

③ Provide after-sales service. Since the equipment we provide is mostly non-standard equipment, it is a complete set of customized solutions designed according to the specific process conditions of the customer. Therefore, after-sales service can only be provided by us in the most comprehensive way. Many small workshops and shell companies with only a dozen people have enough projects to keep them busy in a year. They simply do not have the after-sales service环节. Even some companies are just planning to make a quick profit. Therefore， doing a good job in after-sales service is also an important part of our enterprise's improvement of competitiveness.
