On the morning of June 23rd, the procuratorial organs of Heze City held a promotion meeting for the "Special Supervision Activity on Environmental Protection and Air Pollution Control". They earnestly implemented the relevant requirements of the municipal committee on strengthening environmental protection and air pollution control, recognized the severe situation of environmental protection in our city and the arduous tasks of preventing and controlling air pollution, and made mobilization and deployment for the "Special Supervision Activity on Environmental Protection and Air Pollution Control" to be carried out by all procuratorial organs of the city.

Wang Jinqing stated that the municipal committee and the municipal government attach great importance to environmental protection work and have placed the control of environmental pollution at a more prominent strategic position; the provincial procuratorate also attaches great importance to environmental protection work and has successively deployed a series of special activities. However, the current situation of ecological environment protection in our city is not optimistic. Some small-scale "disorderly and polluting" enterprises, seeking short-term benefits, violate the law and regulations, produce illegally and discharge pollutants at will; some departments have weak sense of responsibility and fail to perform their duties effectively, resulting in frequent environmental protection problems. All procuratorial organs of the city should consciously view the strengthening of ecological environment judicial protection from the perspective of promoting the sustained and healthy development of the economy and society and ensuring the safety of people's lives and health, deeply understand the significant meaning of strengthening ecological environment judicial protection, unify their thoughts and actions with the various deployment requirements of the municipal committee, further strengthen the sense of overall situation and responsibility, legally crack down on criminal acts that damage the environment, legally supervise the phenomenon of lax law enforcement, and hold accountable the crimes of dereliction of duty and malfeasance in supervision, legally investigate and prosecute corruption and bribery in positions of power, and provide comprehensive, effective and adequate judicial protection for the construction of ecological Heze.
Wang Jinqing emphasized that all procuratorial organs of the city should regard the implementation of the "Special Supervision Activity on Environmental Protection and Air Pollution Control" as a key task for this year, attach great importance to it, make overall plans, strengthen measures, and strictly implement it to ensure effectiveness. In the special activity, all procuratorial organs of the city should focus on the key cases, quickly form legal deterrence; take the initiative to act actively and take measures to promote the in-depth development of the work; strengthen collaboration and cooperation, and pool work synergy. Fully leverage the overall advantages of procuratorial functions, legally severely punish all criminal acts that damage air pollution prevention and control, resolutely investigate and prosecute crimes in the field of air pollution prevention and control, continuously strengthen the prevention of crimes in the field of air pollution prevention and control, and carefully handle civil and administrative appeal cases related to air protection, to provide comprehensive, effective and adequate judicial protection for ecological construction.
The meeting was held by means of television and telephone conference to the grassroots procuratorates. The procuratorates of the municipal and county-level districts, the deputy procurators in charge of anti-corruption and criminal investigation supervision, the heads of the departments of the office, political work, public prosecution, anti-corruption, civil and administrative appeal, case management, and other departments, and all personnel of the criminal investigation and anti-corruption departments attended the meeting.
